Accounts from an INFP & a Muslim Singaporean son

I'm back from LLTC B ! For the past 3D2N, I was at St. Patrick Secondary School mostly. This leadership camp started on Friday. I wasn't really looking forward to it as it will actually take away my first weekend after exams. I was like '**** you lah LLTC ! I want my weekend after exams free to enjoy and party." I was representing NCC LAND to go for the camp. So I came to the came in a negative attitude and mindset. Apart from that, I slept at 12.30am on Friday morning and had to wake up at 5.30am. That made it worse. I was at NUH the evening visiting my grandmother there

I reached at SJI at 7am. Changed in to PE attire and reported at hall. I know I am in GROUP 9, SUMMUND with IVAN LIM and JOANNA as my OTs ! The evening before Ivan had called me to briefed me slightly about reporting and the camp. I still had the negative attitude and mindset towards the camp. Then, I was told that there were only 2 groups out of 12 which has girls in the group and my group is one of them. My group had 3 girls. There were a total of only 5 girls as participants. The other 2 were in another group. Erm that sort of sparked a slight interest and change in my attitude and mindset towards the camp. I was sort of looking forward to it a bit only ok...

While waiting the rest to report, the 1st girl came. Not so good ( what else am i talking about rite...) 2nd girl came. Above average. The spark rekindled into a glow. Then the last girl came. O_O! She is a Chinese girl with big eyes but speak with an American accent. A bit hot I say. Im not the only one who thinks that way. So she is an ABC AMERICAN-BORN CHINESE girl. It reminded me of WENDY WU ( BRENDA SONG) !!! xD XD ! Their looks are about the same anyway.

Now, the glow has rekindled into a BLAZE. Ok. I mean flame. Played some icebreaker games in an hour. I got to know their names and knew them all better. Oh yeah sorry for focusing too much on the girls. the SJI guys in my groups are KONG WAI, ZIMRI and N.KARTHIK . So it's like a COOL GUY, A BUFFLORD, A NERD and me ? I should be the nice guy :) .

NExt up, we were given a 1 litre bottle of water and an egg to carry there.wtf. The next activity. I kinda saw that coming. WE HAD TO WALK FROM SJI TO ST.PATRICK'S SECONDARY SCHOOL WITH OUR HEAVY BAGS ! Ez-link cards, wallets and handphones surrendered so NO MAP, NO EZ LINK, NO MONEY , NO HANDPHONE ! holy mofo. Our OTs will not provide directions. We were on our own as a group. The walk started at about 8.45. To me, I know how to get there . SERIOUSLY DIRECTIONS ARE NO KICK. I was forced to take 67 to Bedok by AMIR AND ZUHAIR on that week so know how to get to the East from SJI.

We discussed as a group first. The rest totally had no idea how to go there except for the OTs but they cant help even though they are following us. So, my plan was to go walk past SCGS, to NEWTON CIRCUS, LITTLE INDIA, BOON KENG, KALLANG,ALJUNIED,PAYA LEBAR,EUNOS,KEMBANGAN then ST PATS !!! Sounds easy ? Hell no dude ! Then outside Tanglin Police Post, Kong Wai said go by Novena. He doesnt know how to continue when at Novena but we agreed and reroute to Novena by Mt.Rosy. Yea walked up Mt Rosy and until IRAS building, we took a break there.

The girls were like so hyper lah. Especially the ABC with her American accent ><"! And Zimri is a bufflord for real ! Even the ABC likes his arms o_O" . Ok. At IRAS, we took a 15 mins break to drink up. There, we discussed on roles for us to take. I went to the toilet so the rest took up some roles. When I came back, most of the roles were taken. It ended up I became the mage (CHAIRMAN)! Wow. chairman. I volunteered for that as I want to lead them to St Pats with my knowledge of Singapore roads. We moved on and stopped outside the building.

No one in our group knows how to proceed next. So, I suggested we use the underpass to Novena and check their map there. We all checked. Ok. Easy. Just follow MOULMEIN ROAD as it is the only road that goes to the East. From this point, the girls started to get weary. Hehe I knew it. Blah blah walked down Moulmein road then we arrived at Boon Keng. Oh hell yeah ! I know the way now from Boon Keng to St Pats!!! It is actually a faster plan than the Little India route. From Boon Keng we walked to Kallang. No kick seriously. I knew the route from BK to Kallang because of going St. Wilfred's Sport Complex just the day before and because I always take 985 from Kallang to go back home and it passes BK !

From Kallang, we had to pass by Geylang, all the lorongs xD. Well it is just in the morning time so no sl*ts in the open yet. The journey continues from there to the whole of green line, KALLANG, ALJUNIED, PAYA LEBAR, EUNOS. It was about 12.30pm at Eunos there. From there, we took a bus as we were sorta late. Ivan got permission from overall camp head. NICE ! We were not the last to reach St Pats. Then, I went to Friday prayers at Masjid Abdul Alim Siddique. I have never been to that mosque before though I have been to many. WOW ! Air-con mosques. I thought MASJID KAMPUNG PASIRAN ABDUL HAMID was the only masjid with air-con ! We passed by that masjid while on our way to Novena anyway. It is located near Novena and Mt. Rosy.

I befriended this cool St Pats mat whose name is HASSAN REYAN. He is a JOKER ! I swear. A arab/chinese/malay/indian muslim joker. Wow thats many races in his blood. Went back to St Pats. Lunch was bleargh . Boo. From 2pm to 3pm, we had a super boring talk man. I fall asleep because I was shagged from the walk from SJI to St Pats. Then break and AGAIN ANOTHER BORING TALK ABOUT 7 HABITS OF MIND. Wahh now I hate this camp.

Thank god it was GAMES time after the talks. We played games like dog and water bomb, captain's ball, space invaders remixed and water bomb catapult with our t shirt. Lol we got RAPED TOTALLY by Shamir's group in captain's ball. I enjoyed all games. For water bomb catapult with shirt, we must go in pairs with girls and guys must take out our shirt ~_~. Siallah. Zimri really damn buff I tell you. I lose to him for sure, any cock can tell that. I didn't get wet at all anyway.

From our room, we could see pple playing soccer at the St Pats field before we showered. I thought I saw mr Ebrahim but I wasnt sure. The next day I was told that it was him !!!

Lol shower time after games. Shower sucks coz the shower room lock then shower in toilet with a basin of water and a pail. ok shouldnt go into further details. Next is a talk about De La Salle. FU**ING BORING coz we learn it all in sec1 already. So again I slept a bit. Then it was followed by night reflection. Super hardcore. We were blindfolded and lead by one of us who is not blindfolded. Me , as usual the cunning one, didnt cover properly so I could see a bit. The course was easy. Just benches and tables. Lol. I f*cking cheater >
After that it was reflection time by writing on our journal and supper. SUPPER wAS THE SEX ! THe BURGER WAS AWESOME BOMB. No patty but its with sliced hotdog with meat and chilli. ICE MILO was awesome also ! Lights out .

DAY 2

We had to wake up at 5.30am as there was morning pt at 6am. It is just a jog around St Pats , roughly 1.6km. Showers and breakfast. I forgot the food for breakfast. Oh heck. Next was a talk on I Realities ? Erm I forgot also. Shit lah. Break and then a continuation on the talk on 7 HABITS OF THE MIND. This time the lecturer was an SJI OlD BOY ! HE ROCKS I TELL YOU ! HE skipped the boring part and goes straight to the point. HE IS SO KIND. HE GAVE US FREE 4GB thumbdrive ! WOAH SEH ! Then there was this challenge of what 2 things you would take with you if your plane crashed. Every group had to come up with a plan making use of 7 habits in the planning. Very funny presentations by other groups especially Andre eng's BIBLE and ROSARY. LOL !

Lunch next. Again I forgot the food. Then after that was our afternoon's Mission briefing. Basically in this mission, we will be going to our assigned locations to interview those who are the last, the lost and the least. For us, we went to LUCKY PLAZA which is in Orchard Rd and the target was Phillipino domestic/migrant workers. We had to interview them in pairs. Really. Lucky Plaza was like mini Phillipines in Singapore. Since it was a Saturday, there werent maids there but tourists as maids work on Saturday and off day is on Sunday so we had no choice but to interview the storekeepers. Blah blah blah interviewed a total of 4 storekeepers :D ! Good job Kim !

Then we all met again once our mission was completed outside Lucky Plaza. How kind of Ivan and James to buy vanilla ice cream cone for our group ! Straight bus back to St Pats. Wow. I slept in the bus journey :\ . Then there was a 1.5h time to shower as the catholics had mass. OH YEAH ! TIME TO SLACK AND SLEEP ! For dinner, our programme said "Fast Food". CUNNING. Many thought that it was going to be Macs or sth but then it was actually porridge. Very very very diluted porridge and tasteless. I find this very meaningful though. We really should consider the fact that getting food is already a privilege as not all in Singapore can afford to get food. I didnt complain much but just drank the porridge in 30 seconds. The rest took 2-3 mins ._." ! Wow.

Next was a talk by a brother who works as a social worker. He shared with us interesting experiences in dealing with troubled youth and the llls in SEA. I respect him a lot for his job. Then it was solidarity lasalliana. Ok. Really I had no idea what this is. Then we went to the courtyard and there were 4 food items placed on a banana leaf. A bittergourd, lime, rice cake and rock sugar. We had to eat all of them ! They are meant to represent the bitterness, the sourness , the thickness and the sweetness of stuff in our life I think ? ><"! Screw my English. I find that very very very meaningful. LIGHTS OUT ! Omg last night !

DAY 3 ( TODAY :D)

Again we woke up at 5.30 for morning run. This time it was better and we improved in our teamwork. Then showers. Im used to the showers already :D. Photo-taking and breakfast. Photo-taking includes everyone and group photo. Shitzxc man, in the group photo we did a jump shot and my shirt went up too ._." The photo sucks but the EVERYONE photo rocks ! Next was a talk about Lasallian Spirituality and Leadership. Blah blah. Boring. Break time, the best time to steal sweets so that we wont fall asleep during talks. Then it was the Lasallian Award briefing which is a journal to be submitted in Sec4. Lunch. A talk about Lasallians in the World. Ok lah but still boring. It was followed by our Personal Mission statement (PMS LOL) writing. Its sorta like what you wanna achieve in life with your roles that you play.

Then we packed up, slacked, changed to uniform. We were supposed to clean the toilet at lvl 4 even though we were at level 2 but it was clean so we slacked ! The last activity was the commissioning and closing ceremony. We were all given this lasallian collar pin to wear. We also had to read our PMS to our group. I was like looking forward to going home yet sad as it was our last hour or sort of as a group. Too much memorable stuff happened after closing ceremony. There was a 15mins party of song and dance. Then I was the first in my team to leave and head for home. All the members were so kind to say bye to me :D. I must have had been a good chairman. I took Faiz car and finally I am at Bukit Batok and home I am at now :D !

Now, I miss my group. I miss LLTC. I miss everything there. Why oh why, when I am there, I don't cherish my moments there much but complain and just want to get home ? Sigh. That's life. At least there's photos to reminisce. For my affirmation paper, everyone kind of commented that I was an AWESOME MAGE ! I am an awesome chairman for the group. I smile to myself and I know that I am definitely capable to lead others well. This shall motivate me to be a greay lasallian leader in NCC LAND. I wish I can be OT for next year. Anyway IVAN and JOANNA , my OTs both said that I did an excellent job as a mage. Well. I can only pray now and hope for the best.

Ok I sorted my stuff and unpacked my bag already. There's interclass soccer/touch-rugby tmrw at Farrer Park and we have to report at 7.30. Wow Im so shagged now and I wish tmrw is a rest day. Nvm I got Tuesday and Wednesday to rest. Anyway I feel inspired to be BUFF like ZIMRI. My plan is to do lots of cadio in the holidays to burn exam fats and at the same time train for OBS SABAH :D !
