best things in life are on the other side of fear
Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Oh hi it's me here again. . Just want to do a reality check here now that it's coming to the half year mark of 2017.

In the last month or so, I've made two seemingly absurd decisions in my life. I have yet to fully come into terms with these two decisions that I've made. Right let's get straight to the point.

Decision 1: I rode to southern Thailand last month alone.

It's something I've always wanted to do ever since I brought my bike to JB. I'd probably get snide remarks if I were to share this dream of mine then as a probation rider with others like "You're out of your mind la bro",  "Are you crazy", "Kau takmo world la" lol.

I did it anyway. It's not much of a feat to be admired to me as there are brave souls who ride way further with small capacity bikes1, be it alone or in a group. I had casted doubts on the feasibility of this dream of mine but carried on with it anyway as I felt that there's no better time to do it then. Grateful that I got the support of my parents for ride and how it went smoothly with His will. I may do it again in the future and ride up to Krabi if I yearn to tour on my bike again. Maybe not. Would be nice to go with a +1 and a big bike haha. Let's put that on hold while working towards it.

Decision 2: I've had my corneas reshaped a fortnight ago.

What? Go figure. The phrase as it is commonly known as seems like a taboo to me so I won't say it. The best part about this is that not a single soul in my family knows about this haha. Same goes for my friends. It's something I've envisioned clearly (no pun intended) ever since my post A lvl days. Yes it was already a decision implanted in my mind for such a long period of time. Of course I didn't have the means back then to do it.

I promised myself to work hard in NS and save up for this procedure to be done once I've saved $xxk amount of money. With His blessings, I did so and started to get a little more serious about this decision and read up more about it, looking for the clinic/specialist of choice to get it done. Once again I had my doubts on proceeding with this procedure but did not put it on hold and went with it as it was something I truly wanted in my life. No regrets doing so. If you are interested to know more or any details then hit me up (magnumite95@gmail.com) . I'd gladly share any information with you.

All in all, with these two decisions, I must say that I'm pleased with how my pre-enrolment break is going thus far. It's time for me to settle down and get married prepare to resume being a student again after taking two legislated gap years. Trust in His timing and planning.

With that, advanced Eid Mubarak and may the remaining days of Ramadhan be filled with blessings and mercy.

Peace be upon you.
