Today, on the 20th April, my internship contract is officially terminated. The official last day was supposed to be end of May but oh well, I'm not complaining. I have a lot to be thankful for alhamdulillah.
This is indeed better. I had no idea what I was doing during internship. It's my first ever and it certainly went differently from how I had envisioned it. Frankly speaking, only 5% of my time there was spent doing work that is relevant to my course of study ha ha ha. Whatever. Summer break is here. We are also days away from Ramadhan. In sya Allah.
In other news, it has been at least a month since masjids closed. Allahuma anta rabbii. Historical moment we are having here in Singapore. I think this is what I am most affected with out of everything.
As of now, we are currently in a pseudo-lockdown period known as "circuitbreaker". 80% of workers are working from home, schools and public facilities are closed. Yet another historical period. It certainly is refreshing to see light traffic and an eerily empty downtown area on weekends, when I was doing food delivery in that area. At the same time, I can't remember much from SARS back in 2003, when I was in Primary 2. I can only remember the closure of schools and the death of a TTSH doctor who was treating the patients.
May things change for the better in the months to come. Thankfully there's Ramadhan to look forward to, albeit a different experience. Let's see if I can still learn driving this summe break as planned. We ask for the best from our Creator and put our trust in Him for our daily affairs.
Peace be upon you
